Fans are divided over the theme song for Star Trek: Enterprise

It’s been said before, and it’ll be said again and again. Not everyone liked the theme song for Star Trek: Enterprise. “Where My Heart Will Take Me” had previously been called “Faith of the Heart,” but that was changed when the soundtrack for the first season of Enterprise was released May 14, 2002. While some fans couldn’t help but like the theme, others rebelled against it and openly called for it to be changed. And one enterprising Youtuber whose channel is aptly named “Anything but Enterprise” has been dedicated to replacing the theme song with, well, anything but Enterprise.

This channel’s latest offering is the series opening to the tune of Charlie Brown’s Christmas which is appropriate considering this time of the year. But there are over 100 openings to choose from, including the theme song for Sanford and Sons, WandaVision, The Odd Couple, The Orville, and even Battlestar Galactica. One of my favorites is the series opening to the Downton Abbey theme song.

There have been questions about how the Star Trek: Enterprise theme affected the series

Since the series debuted in 2001, Trekkies have often asked the same question. Would the series have been more popular with a different theme? Though some would like to argue it certainly could only have helped, there are others that don’t think the title music had anything to do with the fall of Enterprise after its fourth season.

Whatever the case may be, this Youtube channel shows that the title could have been set to virtually any song and have worked as the title images are beautiful. And if you’re one of the fans who believes the song should have been changed, then head on over to the Anything But Enterprise channel and have a listen to one of the many songs that could have been used instead.
