These are eight things Star Trek fans should look forward to in 2022

Star Trek is poised for a bit year in 2022. While there are several stories surrounding the streaming shows we’re not focusing on that in this article. Strange New Worlds is debuting, Prodigy and Discovery are going to finish streaming their first and fourth season respectively and who knows what else is coming our way from that streaming side of things.

That said, this isn’t about that. We’re going to have another article about that very same thing up at very near, but different date. Instead, this article is more about the peripherals. The add-ons that the series produces. Your movies, games, and such.

That’s why we separated everything into three distinct categories.

First up are the games and toys. That’s pretty self-evident. Games, collectibles and the like will be in here and while it’s the least padded out section, it’s also the biggest category that will change as the year continues.

Secondly, we’re going to have books and movies. This of course will fact in novels, comics, DVDs, and the like.

Thirdly will be, what I’m referring to, as the Behind the Scenes stuff. These are interviews, tell-all books, retrospectives, fan conventions, and the like.

This of course isn’t all the stuff that is coming out in 2022, but just what we know of so far. This list will surely grow as the year goes on but for right now these are the biggest aspects of the Star Trek fandom that fans should look out for that aren’t based on the shows themselves.
