Does your Zodiac sign match your Star Trek alien?

Looper has a gem for you guys today, and you should give it a good look. They took the time to figure out which Zodiac sign matches best with what Star Trek alien. If you like horoscope stuff, be it something that you just find amusing or if you sincerely believe in it, this will be something you want to check out.

If you’re not familiar with Zodiac signs and what they mean, it’s basically a belief that depending on when you’re born, you will inherit specific traits. It has something to do with the moon, stars, and whatnot.

It’s not something people should live their life by but it is fun to see what people think of you depending on when you were born. The 12 signs and the time periods that they are assigned are, Aries (March 21 – April 19), Taurus (April 20 – May 20), Gemini (May 21 – June 20), Cancer (June 21 – July 22), Leo (July 23 – August 22), Virgo (August 23 – September 22), Libra (September 23 – October 22), Scorpio (October 23 – November 21), Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21), Capricorn (December 22 – January 19), Aquarius (January 20 – February 18), and Pisces (February 19 – March 20).

If the dates and such aren’t wild enough, each sign has an element attached to it, fire, wind, water, and earth. That means that each element has three assigned months of its own.

Personally, I don’t prescribe to the notion but some are really into it. It does make for a fun read. So who did Looper assign to each sign?

"Aries: AndorianTaurus: BajoranGemini: CardassianCancer: BetazoidLeo: FerengiScorpio: The BorgLibra: TrillVirgo: VortaCapricorn: VulcanSagittarius: KlingonPisces: OcampanAquarius: Romulan"

Looper missed on some of the aliens

Most of these are interesting but aren’t terribly accurate. Putting aliens like the Vorta and Borg onto the list seems short-sighted and more like they’re trying to hit popular alien types and not getting the most earnest representation.

Personally, I don’t think the Vorta accurately reflects who I am, or what I’m about. I’m not a perfectionist by any means, and while I do enjoy a certain order, the idea of being ok serving such devious fiends like the Changelings is something I’d never do.

That’s the issue with Zodiac signs, too many people think they’re a catch-all for any person. “Oh, you’re such a…” is so typical among those that put huge stock into the notion. Most people aren’t all one thing, no matter the qualification (age, race, religion, Zodiac), and Zodiac’s only work if you think people are a monolith.

I’ll leave it up to you to read the article and determine if you think they got your sign correct, but all things being even, Looper did as well as possible on this idea. It’s just you can’t boil down entire alien races into one or two traits.
