Star Trek fans who haven’t signed up with Paramount+ yet may want to.

Star Trek has been the building block of Paramount’s attempt to launch a streaming service for nearly six years. The first attempt, CBS All Access, failed to generate much going for it and after CBS and Viacom merged to form Paramount, they relaunched their stifled streaming service with a whole host of new content from various cable channels and rebranded it Paramount+.

Most subscriptions include a bundle with Showtime, and fans can get quite a good bang for their buck with that bundle. Though why they don’t just merge the two is beyond me. Fans may want to head over to Paramouont+ in the coming days because the service is offering a unique discount for their birthday.

It started on March 1 and will run until March 7, but new subscribers who sign up by Monday night can save a lot of money. The service is offering their service for $1 a month for three months for their ad plan (Essential Plan), and for $2 a month for their ad-free plan (Premier Plan).

Following the end of those three months, the service switches back to their normal rates of $4.99 and $9.99 respectively for the ad-version and ad-free version.

There’s more than Star Trek with Paramount’s streaming service

So far they haven’t had the hits that Apple has had with Ted Lasso and The Boys, but Paramount does have Star Trek, as well as Yellowstone. They also cater to the youngster in all of us with their iCarly revival, which was given a second season after a surprisingly successful first season.

They also have sports on their service, as well as news and a back catalog of great shows from years gone by.

They also have a whole host of new things coming in the coming months as well, like a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, and a brand new Teen Wolf movie featuring the cast from the MTV show.
