Star Trek: Picard and Orville collide in new video game The Quarry.

This isn’t about Star Trek: Picard or The Orville directly but the two worlds are kinda-sorta(but not really) colliding in this new Supermassive Game called The Quarry. For some of you, you may remember the 2015 video game Until Dawn, which starred Remy Malik and Hayden Panettiere in motion-capped performances. It was a game about surviving a murder in an isolated ski cabin. Well, the new game is called The Quarry and serves as a spiritual sequel to Until Dawn. It won’t follow the same plot but is presumably in the same universe and the same gameplay.

This time around, however, former Orville star Halston Sage and current Star Trek: Picard lead Evan Evagora are part of the motion-capped cast. Both Sage and Evagora shot their scenes like any other actor would, and then were digitized and placed into the game.

A trailer for the game can be found below.

The Quarry carries an equally star-studded cast as Until Dawn

Until Dawn featured Malek, Panettiere, Josh and S.A.M. actor Noah Fleiss, The Middle’s Galadriel Stineman, Superstore’s Nichole Sakura, Teen Beaches’ Jordan Fisher, Agent of S.H.E.I.L.D’s Brett Dalton, Camp Rock’s Meaghan Martin, and established veteran actor Peter Stormare. The game was a nice blend of cinematics and interactivity, with a diverse multitude of situations that would affect how the game ended.

The Quarry carries a very similar trend with its star-studded roster with Scream legend David Arquette, Modern Family’s Ariel Winter, Detective Pikachu’s Justice Smith, The Suite Life’s Brenda Song, Deadly Classes’ Siobhan Williams, Psych, and Santa Clarita Diet’s Skyler Cisondo, Let It Snow’s Miles Robbins, Days of Our Lives star Zack Tinker, renowned character actor Ted Raimi, Alien icon Lance Henricksen, Insidious star Lin Shaye, Twin Peaks’ Grace Zabriskie and Ethan Suplee of Remember the Titans fame.

The game releases on June 10, 2022.
