Ella Purnell is becoming the new Sci-Fi queen with her jump from Star Trek to Fallout

Ella Purnell is beaming down from Star Trek to the wasteland of Fallout.
Ella Purnell is the new hotness. She’s in everything and for good reason. Not only is she stunningly beautiful but the young actress from London, England is a talent among talents. She’s known to many Star Trek fans for her role on Star Trek: Prodigy as Gywndala, the second female -lead behind Kate Mulgrew’s Emergency Command Hologram of Kathryne Janeway. She’s also known for the fan-favorite film Army of the Dead, which was a massive hit for Zack Snyder in 2021.
It also featured fellow Star Trek figure Tig Notaro.
Beyond that, she’s in the current Showtime tentpole series Yellowjackets alongside Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, and others. To say she’s in demand is an understatement. Now she’s got another huge credit coming up; Fallout
Fallout is a video game franchise that is beloved or was before Fallout 76. It features a universe where the Earth engaged in a final nuclear war with superpowers firing their full arsenal of rockets at one another. The survivors lived in bunkers for hundreds of years, before coming back to the surface.
The games usually all take place in different places in the United States and at different times, with exploration and universe building being key aspects of the game.
Ella Purnell joins major character actor in Fallout
Purnell will be joining a series that has Walton Goggins already entrenched in the lead role. Neither character’s roles have been revealed, but the show will be created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of Westworld fame.
Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner will be the series co-showrunners for the Amazon series. Production is set to begin in earnest in early 2023. Fallout will follow other video game adaptations like Halo, The Last of Us, and Mass Effect.
