Happy First Contact Day, Trekkies! As any loyal fan of the franchise will know, today, April 5, commemorates the day when Vulcans made contact with humans for the first time near Bozeman, Montana, in 2063 in the film Star Trek: First Contact with its stellar soundtrack. Though the eighth film in the Star Trek franchise came out in November 1996, fans still celebrate the day this momentous contact occurred with First Contact Day every April 5.

This recognition prompts Picard and his crew to go back in time to 2063, where the Borg are trying to prevent the first contact between humans and Vulcans.
