The Orville: New Horizons premieres on Hulu on June 2.

The Orville has had some interesting relationships in the past two seasons with Clarie and Isaac’s being at the top of the ladder. That romance ended just in time for the Kaylons to turn against the crew of The Orville and changed how most everyone aboard the ship will see Isaac in the future. So his prospects for a strong relationship might not be so rosy, but, according to Penny Johnson Jerald who plays Dr. Claire Finn on the series, there are many relationships to be on the lookout for in the upcoming season. Jerald told Screenrant that all of the relationships are unexpected and even went so far as to say “some are beautiful, some are violently delicious.” She admitted those two words don’t sound right together, but insisted that that we trust her on that one.

Unexpected relationships could mean anything on The Orville: New Horizons.

Adrianne Palicki, who portrays Commander Kelly Grayson and who was also a part of the interview, concurred that her character’s relationship and Captain Mercer’s, which is always evolving, wasn’t the only one to watch out for. But fans will definitely be paying attention to Kelly and Ed as the sparks began flying off of Palicki and Seth MacFarlane from the first episode of the series.

The couple have experienced their ups and downs, but season two ended on a hopeful note for the pair, and in the unfortunate event this is the final season of The Orville, let’s hope Kelly and Ed get a happily ever after.

We don’t as yet know the status of a fourth season, and won’t know that until Hulu sees the audience the series pulls in beginning June 2nd. Fingers crossed the viewers will tune in because The Orville has a lot more stories to tell even if the recently released trailer seems to suggest an ending could be in store.
