Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is one episode away from the end of season one.

It seems like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds just debuted on Paramount+, but we’re already one episode away from the end of season one. Season two began production in February of this year, but we shouldn’t expect it to air on Paramount+ anytime before the new year even though, according to a tweet by Chris Fisher, who is one of the producers of the series, season two just wrapped production.

Fisher’s tweet was followed three hours later by writer/producer Bill Wolkoff tweeting about the virtual fireworks that were on display to celebrate the wrap.

Fans of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds are already asking for more.

Wolkoff’s tweet was followed by a tweet from a critic at Vulture who slyly made the suggestion that Paramount+ should order100 more episodes of the series. And that’s not the only fan who wants more. With Strange New Worlds being the most in-demand series on Paramount+, it has also become one of the most talked about Star Trek series on social media. And that leads to fans asking for more.

The first season has more than delivered on its promise to get fans even more excited about Star Trek. It has returned to the episodic storylines like Star Trek: The Original Series while also giving us character growth. And fans are especially happy with Anson Mount’s portrayal of Captain Christopher Pike. With so much going for the series, it stands to reason that season two won’t be the last we see of Captain Pike and his crew. In fact, I won’t be surprised if Strange New Worlds gets the full seven-season run that was last given to Star Trek: Voyager
