Star Trek reveals its eight most vengeful villains.

The best captains in Star Trek history are defined mainly by their best villains. It is what makes Jean-Luc Picard, James T. Kirk, and Benjamin Sisko so impressive, as they had arguably the best of the worst to contend with.

The likes of The Borg, Khan Noonien Singh, and Gul Dukat are the apex (or were) of Star Trek villainy. Yet, not everyone has had that level of success. The likes of Kathryne Janeway come to mind, with no real singular force to challenge her on a consistent basis. Sure, she had Tom Ransom, the Hirogen, Species 8427, but she didn’t really have a singular threat until the Borg Queen came into the picture.

As the Queen was already Picard’s main rival, it didn’t have the same impact that many thought it would.

Well, Star Trek wants to know if you agree with me or them, as they are pitting the eight worst of the worst in a tournament this summer, to see if there’s anyone who can compare to the legendary Khan.

Star Trek is bringing the villains together for a new summer showdown

The Borg Queen and Gul Dukat will take on the likes of Voyager’s Seska, The Gorn from The Arena, The Deviner from Prodigy, Captain Lorca from Discovery, Q, and Lower Deck’s Badgey. If the villain defines a captain and a series, then dang, there is some real trash out there eh?

Lorca, Seska, and Badgey are among the worst the franchise has to offer and Deviner hasn’t really done anything yet to be worthy of the conversation but since the emphasis is on “revenge”, I guess that makes them worthy?

Except Seska wasn’t really getting revenge, so much as she was the bad guy all along…
