The Orville should have been renewed by now according to the fans who aren’t hesitant to show their unwavering support.

It’s been almost six months since the season three finale of the series aired on Hulu, and we already know the streaming channel still has no news to share. That isn’t quite what the fans want to hear, and on social media channels, they’re getting more vocal about the need for information. They also want to know why it’s taking so long.

One fan whose name is GalaxyRox on Twitter (@friendz2day) asked both Disney and Hulu what was taking the channels so long to renew the series, adding that the show would be set a billion more years in the future when a decision is finally made. To emphasize the point, GalaxyRox shared a collage of most of the crew of The Orville aged as though they’ve been waiting years for a decision about their fate.

We all feel like The Orville should have been renewed by now.

The response to GalaxyRox’s image has been sympathetic with fans expressing their own frustration over the uncomfortable silence coming from Disney+. One asked that the series be renewed now so that it wouldn’t have to be renamed “The Orville: The Geriatric Voyage.”

Last month, Seth MacFarlane tweeted a response to Bleeding Cool’s request for information from Hulu and Disney+. And knowing that the cast still wants to do more, and their hearts are still with the show is uplifting.

We don’t know how much it costs to produce an episode of the series, but odds are good these streaming channels may lose a lot of viewers if it isn’t renewed as some have subscribed only to watch The Orville. Hopefully, we’ll get an answer before GalaxyRox’s picture becomes a reality.
