Star Trek Generations had some notable names you may have forgotten about.

Star Trek Generations put William Shatner on screen with Patrick Stewart for the first and only time ever under the Star Trek banner. The film appeared as a passing of the torch, with select members of the Original Series appearing in the first portion of the film before the Next Generation cast members took over.

It’s one of the more unique pieces from Star Trek there’s ever been; from the original cast’s cameos to the death of James T. Kirk and so many other unique items from the film all help it stand out. Yet, like with First Contact, one of those unique items is the surprising amount of names in the film you may have forgotten that appeared in the film.

So here are four people you may have forgotten about who appeared in Star Trek Generations.

Four people you forgot appeared in Star Trek Generations

Alan Ruck

You most likely will remember Alan Ruck appearing in the film as the captain of the USS Enterprise B, Captain John Harriman. He’s the most obvious character from the gallery of “you may have forgotten”. He had a small role in the film but he would later re-reprise his role in the Tim Russ-directed independent Star Trek film; Of Gods and Men. Russ of course is most notable for his film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, as well as Speed and the sitcom Spin City. He’s currently in a leading role on Succession.

Tim Russ

Voyager’s Tim Russ, who played Tuvok on the UPN series, was also in the film, this time as a non-descript human bridge officer, simply identified as “Lieutenant”. Russ would go on to have a seven-season run with Voyager and would become a fan favorite among the franchise’s base. He would go on to appear in some 180 different titles over the course of his career, becoming a reliable character actor.

Glenn Morshower

The navigator on the Enterprise-B was played by Glenn Morshower. Appearing in over 200 different projects, fans would know Morshowever most from his time on the hit series “24”, where he played Aaron Pierce in 49 episodes. He can currently be seen on the medical drama The Resident as Marshall Winthrop.

Jenette Goldstein

More in line with Ruck, Jenette Goldstein was already a popular name heading into her cameo on Star Trek Generations. She appeared in both Aliens and Terminator 2: Judgement Day in very prominent roles. In Aliens she played the tough-as-nails Private Vasquez, while in T-2, she appeared as John Connor’s foster mother, Janelle Voight. She played the bridge’s Science Officer on Generation, before coming back to the franchise in 2019 as the Enterprise’s computer voice in Star Trek: Discovery.
