Star Trek fans who are hoping to get their hands on some Prodigy action figures, you are about to get your wish!

When Star Trek: Prodigy came into the game, so to speak, it brought with it three huge returns. The first two were talents; Kate Mulgrew and Robert Beltran. The two stars of Star Trek: Voyager were most known for their portrayals of Kathryne Janeway and Chakotay respectively. The duo stole hearts and minds alike during their run on the UPN-Star Trek series.

When Prodigy was launched, both talents were back as their respective characters, and both served as the backbone for the series plot.

They weren’t the only big return to Star Trek with the return of Prodigy, as Playmates Toys also returned, re-launching their iconic line of Trek action figures. This time with the focus eventually going to the character seen on Prodigy.

This of course after The Next Generation, Orignal Series, and Discovery were among the first to figures. Now, the Prodigy figures have gone on sale, and you can pre-porter yours now over at Entertainment Earth.

Star Trek: Prodigy action figures look great and won’t break your wallet

One of the saving graces of the Playmates figures was their inexpensive designs. They weren’t overly complicated, or insanely detailed, nor were they very big. This means that they largely resembled the Star Trek cast without having to break the bank.

I remember them being among the least expensive action figures in Toys R’ Us, costing no more than a few bucks. The current figures are a bit more expensive, maybe double what the originals were, but they’re in line with the current trend among toys.

So while compared to the first round of figures, these toys are a bit more pricey, compared to other toys on the market today, $14.99 isn’t much at all. Right now Hologram Janway, D’el, Jankom, Gwyndala, and Zero are all on pre-order, with Rok Tahk coming soon.
