What could Star Trek: Picard’s Jack Crusher be if he’s not completely human?

Jack Crusher is the key to Star Trek: Picard’s third and final season, and we may be nearing an explanation as to why. Throughout the season, we’ve found that Jack, the son of Jean-Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher, has unique abilities. He has hallucinations that show him certain events and telepathic abilities that seemingly come and go.

Not to mention, he has incredible combat skills that seem almost inhuman.

There’s a reason a group of Changelings was going after Crusher from the start of the series, and why Beverly hid him and opted to name him after her deceased husband and not the father of the son. Though nothing can really forgive that. Considering there are an infinite number of names she could’ve called Jack.

That said, let’s assume she was trying to protect Jack from distancing him from his rightful name of Picard. Why? What if Jack isn’t entirely human? If he’s not, and there’s a good chance he isn’t, what could he be?

Three things Jack Crusher could be beyond just being human

Human-Borg

This was another outlet’s suggestion and one that may make sense, only in the context of the show’s run. The other two seasons dealt heavily with the Borg, and they haven’t really popped up yet in season three. They may not, but if they do, what better way than by making Jack part-Borg? That would explain why she wanted distance from Jean-Luc.

Part Changeling

Why would the Changelings want Jack? What if Jack is part Changeling or had Changeling DNA in him somehow? It could’ve been some sort of life-saving science experiment by Beverly, one that regenerated wounds but had unintended or unforeseen consequences.

A Clone

What if Jack wasn’t conceived, but created, with both the DNA of Jean-Luc Picard and the original Jack Crusher, for whom he shares a name? It would make more sense as to why Beverly named him what she did.
