Star Trek has had a lot of dynamic ships but the most armed may surprise you.

Star Trek has had a lot of crazy and cool ships. So many of them have something unique about them, be it Voyager’s speed, the Defiant’s combat capabilities, or the sheer size of the Enterprise-D. There’s always something that makes each prominent ship stand out.

That said when we talk about the most armed ships, which would you think it would be? Now, Star Trek is usually spread across generations, hundreds of years can sometimes take place between shows like Enterprise to Deep Space Nine or The Next Generation to later parts of Discovery.

So when we talk about such things, it’s always hard to nail down exactly what quantifies as “most”. Some would jump to the idea of the Defiant, or maybe the Enterprise-E or G. Yet, thanks to GameRant, we now have the answer to this question.

The most armed ship in Star Trek is not a canon ship.

The most heavily armed ship isn’t any one specific ship, like say the Defiant. It’s a class. For instance, the Voyager is an Intrepid-Class ship, the Enterprise-D is a Galaxy-Class ship. And the front runner for the ship with the most firepower, The Defiant, is actually a Defiant-Class ship. This is a class specifically named after the first ship of its design.

That said, none of those ships or classes is the winner. According to GameRant, the ship with the most firepower is dubbed the Invincible Class.

All that said, there is no official canonical use of the Invincible Class type ship, as it’s from a non-credited series that Star Trek has not overseen or approved the use of. And considering the specifications of said ship, it’s highly unlikely the ship will ever be made canon.
