Doug Jones is a Star Trek icon, but he’s also been associated with a lot of content perfect for Halloween.

Star Trek: Discovery brought Doug Jones to the world of Trek, solidifying the legacy of one of the world’s best actors. While you may not know what Jones looks like, you’ve seen him at some point in your movie-going experiences. He’s more known for his physical acting prowess than anything, often being in pounds of body paint and face makeup, but he’s a genuinely good actor without makeup.

He’s mostly associated with his prosthetic work, like in The Shape of Water, where he played The Amphibian Man. Due to his height, and his ability to move in unique and seemingly unnatural ways, Jones has found a lot of work under masks and such. And because of that fact, he’s found himself in a lot of movies and shows that lend themselves to Halloween. So that’s what brings us here today.

We’re looking at Jones-centric Halloween movies today, as he’s one of the finer actors that Trek has ever had and this Star Trek icon has shown off his unique talents in a variety of movies that we think you’ll enjoy on this most spooky of holiday.

Honorable Mention: Legion

Legion doesn’t get talked about enough for being a very solid flick. The reason it doesn’t make the main list, however, is because it’s not really a Halloween-y movie and Jones is only in it for a brief spell. He plays the Ice Cream Man and he’s arguably one of the most memorable moments in the movie.
