Murder, She Wrote – Season 3, Episode 12 –  The Corpse Flew First Class

Just about any episode of Murder, She Wrote can be considered a nice idea for any Halloween night. While the show has had its fair share of attempts to capture the Halloween spirit, we’re not picking those tonight. Nope, instead we’re going with one that Pushing Up Roses has reviewed (we suggest you check her out). It’s an episode that features a very young, and very brash Kate Mulgrew.

That’s right, Kathryne Janeway herself is here, but can she be trusted? In Murder, She Wrote Fashion, Mulgrew is a potential suspect in the possible murder of her character’s chauffeur. It’s a heck of an episode, and if you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, watch the review, it’s just as good.

It’s wild watching Mulgrew play a character who may be a murderer, as her character, Sonny Greer is nothing like Janeway. And as a reason to watch this episode, that’s exactly the point. This is not the Janeway you knew from the Delta Quadrant, this is a character unrecognizable to that one.

One that demands you pay attention to her and pay attention you will as Mulgrew eats the scenery like she learned how to act from Nicolas Cage. It’s awesome. Though, to be fair, not nearly as over the top. But still just as animated at times.

And, again, to be even more fair, this entire show is just a whole group of actors and actresses eating scenery, so what did you expect?
