Star Trek: Lower Decks are getting some brilliant-looking Funko Pops.

Star Trek: Lower Decks just wrapped its fourth season, bringing back some classic characters that many fans thought they’d never see again. The series has a fifth-season order and series head Mike McMahan is already writing the next season, with an unknown release date. Due to the combined writers’ and actors’ strikes, the production of Star Trek properties has been impacted significantly.

And with Paramount’s new cutthroat mentality now that investors want returns on their investments, no show is truly safe. We saw Paramount+ cancel a slew of shows, with some, namely Star Trek: Prodigy, already in production and having completed about half of the episodes by the time the streaming service canceled them.

Thankfully, Prodigy will finish its production and stream on Netflix now, but this has made everyone pause for concern about the future of the franchise, including, but not limited to Lower Decks. Just because they have a fifth season order, doesn’t mean they’re going to be getting it, and even McMahan is aware of the possibilities.

The hope is that they get that fifth season, but there’s no telling if that happens. Despite that, however, Funko Pop has just released a brand new line of Star Trek: Lower Deck-inspired characters for fans to collect.

Star Trek: Lower Decks really lends itself to the Funko Pop collectible

You either love or hate the Funko Pop brand of collectibles, but whether you’re a fan or not, you can’t deny how perfect the brand really is for Lower Decks. The line of Pops that will be coming out for Lower Decks include Beckett Mariner, Bradward Boimler, D’Vana Tendi, Sam Rutherford, and shockingly, Badgey.

Due to the animated stylings, Lower Decks works very well with Pop, and they look very much like their actual selves. Just with bigger heads and cold, dead, black eyes.

Each item will retail for $11.99 and pre-orders are now available.
