Do we want to see more villain stories from the Star Trek universe?
Star Trek: Khan is making its way to audio via a radio play.
It will tell the story of Khan’s time on Ceti Alpha V after he was exiled to the planet by Captain James T. Kirk. Fans have been wanting to know more about how the villain spent his time and even to witness the explosion of the planet that turned it into a place unfit for human life. But is Khan the only villain who should get his own series? Are there other enemies of the Federation we’d like to know more about?
Would fans be interested in learning how the Borg came to be, how the Borg Queens were chosen, and what species their first assimilation was? Or how about the Changelings? Did they exist for all time, or did they develop out of the ooze they live in?
Are there more Star Trek villains that fans want to know about?
The Federation has plenty of enemies, and they could have rich backstories that would be fascinating on either the small or big screen. So is Khan the beginning of the villains the Star Trek franchise will investigate?
I have to admit that curiosity gets the better of me when I think about what we could learn. I mean, why do so many beings and planets despise the Federation? Maybe we could learn more about that disastrous first contact that led the Klingons to hate the Federation and why the Romulans had such an issue with peace for so long. I mean, at least the Klingons finally made peace with the Federation, but Romulans continue to hold onto their bitterness. Why?
What do you think? Would you want to know more about the beginnings of villains who have plagued Starfleet and the Federation, or is learning about Khan enough?
