Brunt, liquidator for the Ferengi Commerce Authority, Tiron, and Weyoun are three of the very memorable characters played by the immensely talented actor, Jeffrey Combs.

Jeffrey Combs has made a career of playing aliens not only on Star Trek, but on a number of other science fiction shows. Some of his best work can be seen on Star Trek: Enterprise as Thy’lek Shran of the Andorian Imperial Guard, but do not discount his work on DS9.

We first meet Brunt, who is a liquidator for the Ferengi Commerce Authority, who is a constant thorn in the side of Quark. He’s always looking for a reason to shut Quark’s bar down and seize all of his assets because of a personal grudge with him. He goes so far as to revoke Quark’s operating license because Quark reneges on a contract to sell off his vacuum-sealed desiccated remains when Quark finds out that he’s actually not dying, because as we all know: Rule of Acquisition, #17 states, “A contract is a contract is a contract… but only between Ferengi.”

Combs can also be seen in a one-off role as Tiron, one of Quark’s patrons who orders a very specific holodeck program be created for his own personal pleasures as he desires some close, personal time with Major Kira, who won’t give him the time of day. One of the many fine, upstanding characters in the far reaches of the Alpha quadrant.

And finally, Combs truly shines as Weyoun, the smarmy Vorta diplomat for the Dominion. Constantly looking to please his Founder overrulers, Weyoun just wanted everyone to live happily ever after, serving the Founders in a galaxy under the rule of the Dominion.
