5 best Blue Brixx sets you should buy while you can

Star Trek may be launching a partnership with Lego and if that's the case, the future of Blue Brixx and Star Trek's partnership may be up in the air.

Fans of Star Trek may finally get a new merchandising opportunity if rumors are to be believed. According to one new claim, Star Trek and Lego are on the verge of launching a new brick building set of the USS Enterprisde-D. Complete with the core figures of the crew, like Jean-Luc Picard, Worf, Data, and others.

That's great for fans, but right now, Star Trek already has a deal with the brick-building company Blue Brixx. The German-based company has been creating new sets of famed ships and characters for a while now. Standing in as an alternative for those hungry for a Lego set.

It isn't as detailed, or robust as a Lego set, but it's a nice stand-in for those hungry for something like it. If you're a fan of Blue Brixx, the potential partnership with Lego may spell the end of the Blue Brixx partnership, though that's just speculation on my part.

Assuming the Lego deal comes to fruition, and it comes with an exclusivity deal that prohibits Blue Brixx from continuing their work, fans are going to want to hop in on these builds while they still can. So we took it upon ourselves to offer up five options we think are fantastic. We suggest you buy these builds while you still can.

Quark

The Quark build is awesome. These are not a great look, as some of them look....unwell. Yet, the Quark (and Q) builds are actually quite cool. They're clearly who the company claims them to be, and they don't look off, like Benjamin Sisko or Seven of Nine. We think fans will enjoy these, especially those who like figure sculptures.

Jem'Hadar Battleship

The Jem'Hadar Battleship is awesome on its own. It's sleek, clever and unique. Maybe too unique. If the Lego deal comes to pass, this ship will likely not be made. At least for some time. This is an obscure ship from a 30-year-old television franchise. Blue Brixx is fantastic for their attempt to dive deep into the ship directory but Lego often sticks to the surface of the fandoms. So get this one while you can.

USS Enterprise-E

The first ship that Lego is planning on building is the Enterprise-D, but an Enterprise-E could be on the docket. However, there's no telling when the Enterprise-E, let alone the Enterprise-D hits the shelves. I personally think the E is a better design than the D, so I'd be on board with getting the later version of the famed ship.

USS Stargazer NCC-2893

Like with the Jem'Hadar Battleship, the Stargazer isn't a build I expect to see from Lego anytime soon, if ever. Yet the four nacelles make it pop against the rest of the ships offered. It's a unique design that we don't get enough of in Star Trek.

USS Voyager NCC-74656

Honestly, I adore the Voyager. It's my favorite design. I love the sleek look of it, the dynamic oval-like shape. It's the ship I grew up on and the ship that I would love the most to work on. Again, this is one of those concepts that may not make it to the shelves anytime soon, if at all. So get it while you can.
