Star Trek 4 is formally announced or canceled

Either way. We're not asking for the film to happen or to be canceled, just that there's some finality about it. It's going on nine years since the last Star Trek Kelvinf film dropped, and at a certain point, we just have to say that enough is enough. I'd like to see a fourth, fifth, and sixth film in the franchise but the way Paramount is running things, we're not likely to get one more film, let alone three more. So in 2025, we'd like to see the film franchise officially decide on the show's future for good.

A new made-for-streaming film about Captain Jonathan Archer and the Enterprise crew is announced

A new show featuring Scott Bakula as Jonathan Archer isn't likely to happen. Yet, a tightly budgeted made-for-streaming film could happen. I've envisioned it as a return of sorts for the whole Enterprise crew. Starting with Charles "Trip" Tucker being revealed as alive and working for Starfleet in a clandestine role for years, helping fight the mysterious Romulan forces. It'd focus on the last 20 years, what everyone has been up to, and why Trip did what he did to fake his death. Yet, regardless of what the story is, giving Enterprise their final chapter needs to happen.
