After Star Trek: Nemesis flopped at the box office, that was the end of Star Trek: The Next Generation until the crew gathered together once again for the final season of Star Trek: Picard. After Nemesis, though, Brent Spiner and John Logan had an idea for another movie that would have brought all of the captains from all of the series, crews, and villains together for one epic battle. [via Fandomwire] Not surprisingly, Paramount deemed it too expensive to produce so the idea wasn't considered further. But things have changed over the years, and with Paramount+ interested in streaming movies, this could be the perfect time to revisit Spiner and Logan's idea.

We now have four additional captains that could be added to the set-up, which could include Captain Burnham [Sonequa Martin-Green], Captain Seven of Nine [Jeri Ryan], Captain Pike [Anson Mount], and Captain Freeman [Dawnn Lewis]. Or the four could be utilized for a movie all on their own. This is the type of crossover that would bring in fans from four different series, and, in the right hands, could be just what the franchise needs to unite the fans.

As multiple villains would be included, we could see the Gorn, the Borg, Control, Badgey, and plenty of others. Though the crews could be brought back to assist, even those four captains working together as a team would be a heck of a story. If Paramount+ really wanted to up its game, it could bring in captains or admirals from the classic series as well.

Yes, this might sound like a far out there idea, but Star Trek has done plenty of weird. And it would be great to see the captains from the Nu-Trek era all together in one epic battle. Maybe even with Admiral Janeway [Kate Mulgrew] calling the shots. Now that would be a movie worth the price of the Paramount+ subscription!
