Though LEGO has done Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and a plethora of other film and television inspired sets, they have yet to give us a Star Trek set of any kind. Till now! So, Trekkies rejoice! The first collaboration between Star Trek and LEGO is coming this holiday season!
Earlier this month, LEGO and StarTrek announced in a video (watch below) a much anticipated set of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D. As most fans will know, the Enterprise-D is the flagship of the fleet, and home to the crew in Star Trek: The Next Generation. With an absolutely beautiful and memorable ship design, the D is a favorite of many fans!
The LEGO ship itself will be made from 3,600 pieces, complete with a detachable saucer section, a shuttle bay which can be opened, and housed with two small shuttlepods. The set will also include nine TNG character figures: Captain Picard, Commander Riker, Lt. Worf, Data, Dr. Crusher, Wesley Crusher, Geordi La Forge, Counsellor Troi, and even Guinan! Every figure will also come with an accessory specific to that character, from a teacup or trombone, to a data PADD, or a figure of Data's cat Spot.
The Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D will be available beginning on Black Friday (Nov. 28, 2025) on the LEGO website and in the company's stores for $399.99. It's perfect for any Star Trek fan in your life and just in time for the holidays!
LEGO is also putting on a sweepstakes from Nov. 6 through Dec. 1. So if you're interested be sure to sign up. You must be a LEGO Insider to enter, and the winner will receive a set signed by Jonathan Frakes himself!
Jonathan Frakes hosted a livestream to kick off the announcement, and spoke of the launch saying, “As Commander Riker, I spent a lot of time on the bridge of the Enterprise, and now fans can take the helm themselves… in LEGO brick form! This set is a fantastic way to relive the adventures of the crew, piece by piece."
Hopefully, this means we can look forward to more LEGO and Star Trek collaborations in the future. Imagine the possible LEGO sets we could get! Perhaps more Starfleet ships like other versions of the USS Enterprise, or USS Voyager. What about a Borg cube or Deep Space 9! We could even get smaller ship sets, like the USS Defiant, a Romulan warbird, or Klingon Bird-of-Prey.
The Enterprise-D set will be a great gift for any Star Trek fan young or old, and it will offer hours of entertainment, just like the shows and films have done for us Trekkies nearly 60 years and counting.
