Back in 2021, ten "Live Long and Prosper" pendant necklaces were sent to space aboard a Blue Origin rocket. They were donated by Julie Nimoy and David Knight. Since their return, five of the pendants have been awarded to individuals, including Whoopi Goldberg, who was the most recent recipient, Mayim Bialik, Billie Jean King, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and LeVar Burton. And now, one of the coveted pendants is being made available for auction by Propstore Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction on November 14. Although the auction for other memorabilia will extend through November17, bidding for the pendant will only be available on the 14th. [via Trekmovie]

The auction includes other items that come from Leonard Nimoy's personal collection, curated by Julie Nimoy and her husband David Knight. All proceeds from the sales will go toward financing the LLAP Memorial sculpture to honor Nimoy at the Museum of Scienc in Boston as well as towards supporting COPD research that is being conducted by Dr. John Belperio and his team at UCLA Medical Center.

The details of the auction were highlighted in a video at the Prop_Store's Instagram page and is included below.

"“My father’s legacy continues to inspire people around the world, and this auction is a special way to honor his memory. We’ve carefully curated these rare items to raise funds for the Leonard Nimoy LLAP Memorial sculpture and for COPD Research, which will be a meaningful tribute to his life and the values he stood for. We’re particularly excited to see the LLAP memorial take shape at the Museum of Science in Boston, Leonard’s hometown that he loved.”"

Mayim Bialik modeled the necklace for her Instagram followers as a tribute to Nimoy on his 92nd birthday last year.

The starting bid for the necklace is £20,000 ($26,064.00 in US dollars) so this will be a definite investment, not only in a collectible piece of irreplaceable memorabilia but also as a contribution toward the monument that will forever stand in honor of Nimoy and advances in medical research that will help future COPD patients. The Museum of Science needs to raise $500,000 to begin the monument project. Currently, they are at 78% of that goal.
