The Honorable Mentions

The two shows that didn't make the top three were Star Trek's Discovery and Strange New Worlds. Discovery had a few names we were really high on, but as we're focusing more on the names coming out of Star Trek, we couldn't go with Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, or Wilson Cruz. Instead, we're looking at Mary Wiseman.

Wiseman hasn't had a lot of work so far in her career, but after her turn on Discovery, and with how fans gravitated to her warm and bubbly energy, it's very likely that Wiseman will get plenty of leading lady projects for her in the near future.

From Strang New Worlds, we had a tough go of it, as so many young stars seemed to be on a path to success. Ethan Peck, Celia Rose-Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Christian Chong all look like they could carry a project one day but right now we're going with Jess Bush, who has stolen many hearts during her two seasons on Strange New Worlds as Nurse Chapel. A singer and actress, the former model has proven herself to be among the most talented and dynamic performers on the cast and a leading bill is in her future once she's had her fill of Star Trek.
