1. Houston Rockets - Basketball (NBA)
Turns out that Houston would hold the top spot in our list for obvious reasons. The home of mission control for many of the rocket launches over the last 60 years, Houston is one of the biggest and most important contributors to the exploration of space in the world. They may not actually launch any rockets, but they're instrumental in the success of many missions regardless.
So it's fitting the top team on the list is the Houston Rockets of the NBA. Currently, the Rockets are on the verge of competing for the playoffs, led by their do-it-all-center Alpren Sengun, the team boasts one of the younger rosters in the league and features dynamic talents like Jalen Green, who is in the middle of his best season yet, and veteran transplant from the Toronto Raptors, Fred Van Fleet.
When looking at teams that would fit perfectly with Star Trek, how could there be a club more deserving or more on-brand than the Houston Rockets? They're a team on the rise and have a great logo that could incorporate the Delta Symbol perfectly.
Not to mention, their color scheme is command red. So, you know, they're going places.
