Ed Speleers believes the Star Trek: Legacy series will happen

Ed Speleers only had ten episodes to portray a Star Trek character, but he is ready to come back and reprise his role as Jack Crusher, the son of Admiral Jean-Luc Picard and Dr. Beverly Crusher. And he believes he'll get that opportunity because, as he told Collider {via CBR}, he believes Star Trek: Legacy will happen at some point. But what will it take to get there?

Speleers encouraged the fans to "keep being noisy about it." Fortunately, this is something that fans have been doing for over a year now. A quick search on Twitter/X for the hashtag Startreklegacy provides post after post from determined fans who continue to promote the series that has yet to be greenlit.

""I do believe it will happen at some point, and I feel that we will get there, but I think that people have just got to keep being noisy about it. Everyone seems to want it to. We’ve just got to keep putting the noise out there. I mean, I would love it. I would absolutely love to play more.""

As loud as fan outcry was for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, it's even louder for Legacy as that series will be headlined by Jeri Ryan, who will portray Captain Seven of Nine, who will be leading the new Enterprise, as well as Michelle Hurd as Raffi Musiker, Seven's second in command, and Ed Speleers as Jack Crusher...at least, we're assuming all three would be included. In all honesty, we don't know the characters that would be involved on the show if it gets picked up, but we can be fairly certain that those three would be onboard.

Speleers isn't the only actor who has encouraged fans to continue making their voices heard as Hurd has done the same, and she retweets various posts that ask for a Legacy series. Whether the ultimate fate of the show is up to the fans or not, one thing we know for sure is that it's not going to happen if there isn't a demand for it. So the louder we are, the better our chances will be for the future of Captain Seven of Nine and her crew.
