The Doctor is in, and the best of the rest

Robert Picardo is returning once again to the world of Star Trek, having just appeared in Prodigy's second season, once again as The Doctor. This time around, he'll be returning in live-action with Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. This is likely the same Doctor from Prodigy and his original show, Voyager, which should mean this Doctor has seen many things across many years. However, it's possible that the doctor could be a different version of the same original creation.

He won't be joined alone, as Tig Notaro will join Picard as a series regular, while Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman will reprise their characters as well for a special guest appearance role.

Doctor Who and Star Trek have teamed up for a mobile game crossover that some fans may be interested in. However, a crossover between the two long-running science fiction franchises seems unlikely to materialize, just simply due to the complications that would arise legally.

Lastly, Star Trek: Prodigy season two is coming to Blu-Ray in November.
