When you've been around as long as Star Trek, you find that there are a lot of places that pop up taht fans will one day want to visist. We're talking both official and unofficial spots. You could head to the deserts of California and see the sights where the shows filmed shots outside of the studios. Speaking of studios you could head to the sets that held Star Trek and take a studio tour.

Then there this the studio tour you can visit in Ticonderoga, New York. A full set of the original show, recreated nearly perfectly (if not entirely perfectly)that fans can walk through and relive those wonderful memories. That's not all that fans have, as several statues have popped up in recent years.

Kate Mulgrew's Kathryn Janeway got a statue in Bloomington, Indiana, while William Shatner's James Kirk got a statue in Riverside, Iowa. The statue isn't the only thing that exists there either, as a small museum exists there as well. Filled with memorabilia and merchandise a like for fans to enjoy.

There have been some other spots along the way, both official and not, that fans came to. Like the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas that closed down in 2008. So it's worth saying that fans have had a lot of opportunities to go forth and explore the world of Star Trek right here on Earth, but more is always better in this situation.

Enter Universal Studios. A new deal has popped up between Star Trek and the theme parks to bring Star Trek to them this year for their upcoming Fan Fest Nights. The event will be held exclusively at the Hollywood Studios lot. It'll be joined by new setups for Back to the Future and Dungeons and Dragons.

There's no description yet of what fans can expect. Though Star Trek.com describes the event as follows;

""Universal Fan Fest Nights will be a limited-time, after-hours experience, exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood that will showcase a dynamic line-up of captivating, immersive in-world experiences along with engaging celebratory activations throughout the theme park, from live entertainment to cosplay, inviting guests to embrace their favorite characters and share their enthusiasm with like-minded fans.""

With the three properties (Star Trek, Back to the Future, Dungeons and Dragons) all set to be part of the event, fans would be wise to start booking their tickets now. The event will take place in the spring of 2025, so you have time to put money away to make the trip.

This is expected to be a limited engagement opportunity, so don't bank on seeing it after the spring ends.
