If even the cast is dismissing Star Trek: Legacy, then it's probably time to say goodbye

Star Trek fans are not going to be happy about this. Some of the key members of the proposed Star Trek: Legacy spinoff have seemingly given up on the show ever happening. Legacy was planned to be a spinoff to Star Trek: Picard, which brought back a lot of classic characters from The Next Generation, as well as characters from the actual next generation.
A lot of character's children were created and ushered into the franchise, like the son of Jean-Luc Picard and the daughters of Geordi La Forge, creating the idea that a sequel series built around the actual next generation and a core character like Worf or Seven of Nine. In fact, the creator of that idea, Picard showrunner for seasons two and three, even apparently pitched it to some execs.
Alex Kurtzman heard the fans "loud and clear" and those same fans have been relentless about it for over a year now. Yet, still nothing about the show going forward. It's gotten to the point that even Michael Dorn, Worf himself, has seemingly given up on the concept happening. Dorn and Marina Sirtis sat down with TrekMovie.com and revealed their thoughts about the show continuing, with Dorn saying;
"I don’t think that people have a clue what’s going to happen. I really don’t."
Sirtis, who played Deanna Troi in Star Trek, flat out saying;
"I don’t believe it’s going to continue.... I think if we were going to continue, they would have ridden on the success of Picard . Do you know what I mean? And then come on the back of that, and they didn’t. So I’m not sure that it’s going to continue."
And honestly, we agree. It seems very likely that this spinoff idea is dead in the water and why wouldn't it be? With all the financial issues Star Trek's parent company, Paramount Global, is going through, why greenlight a new show that you don't know is going to be successful?
