Admiral Kathryn Janeway has every reason to be proud of Pop Culture Coffee as beginning May 12th, two brand new type of coffee are being released. And they're all about Star Trek. In case you don't know anything about Pop Culture Coffee, they bring coffee and pop culture enthusiasts together with themed bags from some of your favorite fandoms. Most are limited editions, which is what these Star Trek bags will be so this is a buy them while you can situation.

First up will be a smooth medium roast called Captain's Choice which is from Star Trek: The Original Series and bears a stunning image of William Shatner as Captain Kirk. Arriving alongside Captain's Choice is Vulcan Vanilla, a full-flavored Madagascar vanilla roast that features Leonard Nimoy's Spock with the Vulcan salute. These are twelve ounce bags priced at $17.99 each. Some may consider that a little pricey for coffee, but these may not even be bags you want to open. They'll certainly be eye-catching additions to your collector's shelf. For me, though, coffee is for drinking. I can always keep the empty bags.

Pop Culture Coffee also has some more brews lined up for release in the coming months, and I'm happy to see that one is Star Trek Janeway's Java Jolt. I imagine that one will be a dark roast coffee with enough caffeine to keep your eyes open for days. Also coming down the pike is Star Trek Raktajino, which, according to Trekmovie, will bear Worf's The Next Generation image. That one will be a brown sugar roast, which sounds delicious.

Then there will be a Borg Blend which will feature the Borg Queen and be a light roast. That's a way to let the Queen know she's not as strong as she thinks she is. And then there will be a Federation French Roast featuring Captain Jean-Luc Picard. I don't remember ever seeing Captain Picard drink coffee so there's no telling what type of blend this will be.

The first two bags of coffee in the bunch are already available for pre-order, and they will ship out on May 12th. If you give any of these coffees a try, let us know on our Facebook page what you think!
