Star Trek fans of a certain age still get hyped for every new collab between the franchise and the mega-corporation, Hallmark. Not just known for their sappy movies, the Hallmark brand has long made family-friendly pieces of merchandise for various franchises, but arguably no franchise has the ties to it that Star Trek fans do. For decades the company known for its greeting cards, has been unveiling Star Trek ornaments, designed to hang on anyone's Christmas tree (or any other various place in your home).

The Enterprise, Deep Space Nine, The Enterprise-D, even the Klingon Bird of Prey, and the Borg Cube have all been turned into ornaments by Hallmark, and this year fans are going to get a unique ship to add to their collection. The USS Enterprise-B will be available for fans anywhere where the Hallmark Keepsake line is found. It's going to run you $34.99 if you pre-order now.

That's not all, however. If you are heading to the San Diego Comic-Con this summer, you'll be able to get the Enterprise-B, complete with "Nexus damage". It's expected to be one of four available this Holiday season, with a Christopher Pike and Beverly Crusher ornament expected to be available soon. As well as the Star Trek Starfleet Incoming Message 3D Pop-Up Card.

The Enterprise-B is a surprising choice for the next ship in the Star Trek X Hallmark collab, considering it had less than 20 minutes of screen time 30 years ago. It only had a brief role in the Star Trek Generations film, catalyzing the film's story. James T. Kirk sees the ship off with a few of his old friends and ends up presumed dead after its encounter with the Nexus. A rift that rips through space and sends people who interact with it into a dimension with no time, and no real space.

A sort of eternal afterlife, if you will, but one where you can navigate time and space if you know what you're doing.

Needless to say, it's interesting that they went with such a widely underused starship.
