A Star Trek film for everyone

The Voyage Home served up much lighter fare than the previous Star Trek movies, mostly thanks to Leonard Nimoy, who helped write the script (along with several others), not to mention his fantastic direction.

Instead of a film based on an episode from The Original Series, The Voyage Home called attention to an environmental plight and mixed it with humor and the situations that arise when otherwise competent Starfleet officers bumble around in the past as they try to save their future.

This approach makes The Voyage Home a movie anyone can enjoy.
