The film's guest stars elevate the story

Star Trek's guest star roles have always been iconic (Ricardo Montalban and Frank Gorshin come immediately to mind), and we fans love a great dramatic villain. The late, great Christopher Plummer brought so much dramatic life to his role of the devious Klingon General Chang that he still stands out as one of the TOS film universe's best antagonists!

David Warner, who also guest-starred in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, packs more of a punch in The Undiscovered Country as Gorkon, the Klingon Chancellor who wants peace for his people in the face of the destruction of Praxis.

Warner brings a distinctive Abe Lincoln vibe to the role in both his appearance and mannerisms (along with facing the same fate as Lincoln). Warner's sober dignity elevates the scenes he's in, and Plummer's General Chang ranks right up there with the best Star Trek villains.
