Sin City may not be the only major gathering sight for fans to celebrate 60 years of Trek.

Star Trek’s 60th anniversary is mere months away, but those interested in making the trek to Las Vegas for STLV need to know the highly anticipated event is selling out fast. However, the company behind the galactic gala, Creation Entertainment, just revealed its "looking to add" another major convention in the science fiction franchise’s honor to its six decades of excellence. Creation co-founder Gary Berman said via TrekMovie.com:

“With the celebration of Star Trek’s 60th anniversary, Enterprise’s 25th, First Contact’s 30th, and Star Trek IV’s 40th, we think this may end up being the most special, the most spectacular STLV ever. We have more details and insights from the people putting together the event, plus news that Creation is looking to add a 60th anniversary convention on the east coast.”

After learning of a possible east coast locale for Star Trek’s 60th anniversary, I checked Creation’s website and discovered only a smattering of Copper Admission packages ($519 plus the section fee of $80.45) remain for Las Vegas.

However, these seat are in the nosebleed section far from the stage at the very back of the house. Note: this does NOT include photo ops or autographs. And, by my count, only 45 seats remain at the time I published this story (Wednesday, April 15).

If you are on the fence about purchasing tickets for the Las Vegas extravaganza, I would like to add that a number of iconic Star Trek actors are slated to join The Original Series’ William Shatner, George Takei, and Walter Koenig in Sin City, including one of my all-time favorites, Scott Bakula (Enterprise), along with Kate Mulgrew (Voyager, Prodigy), Paul Giamatti (Starfleet Academy), and many others.

Share your thoughts and comments about a possible 60th anniversary celebration for Star Trek being held on the east coast via the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages. New York City seems the logical choice to me.

Have you already made your plans to STLV at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Sin City from September 5 through 9? If not, visit Creation's website for remaining tickets.

Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
