5. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

A direct prequel to The Original Series had its risks, but Kurtzman’s gamble with Strange New Worlds paid off. Despite criticisms from some fans over its more offbeat episodes (like the first Trek musical, "Subspace Rhapsody"), the series still held true to the spirit of Trek.
SNW's adventures, the action, compelling takes on foes like the Gorn, and a few tweaks to Trek canon were all worthwhile.
SNW was also helped by its stellar cast with Anson Mount as a great Captain Christopher Pike, Ethan Peck as a compelling Mr. Spock, and Paul Wesley pulling off the challenge of playing James T. Kirk, which didn’t pale to William Shatner’s portrayal.
It still seems too soon to end SNW with the coming fifth season, as this show has more than lived up to the legacy of The Original Series for fans.
