“Celebrate 60 Years of Star Trek and Own a Piece of the Legacy!”
For nearly a decade now, Star Trek streaming productions have made their home in The 6ix, and now fans will have the opportunity to own “items from [the] set.” The announcement comes courtesy of the Brampton-based 403 Auction house just outside of Toronto and reads as follows:
“Celebrate 60 Years of Star Trek and Own a Piece of the Legacy! For six decades, Star Trek has inspired generations to imagine a future defined by exploration, optimism, and unity. In honor of this milestone anniversary, we are proud to present authentic and exclusive items from across the Star Trek universe in support of DoSomething.org. This is a rare opportunity for fans and collectors alike to own a tangible piece of the legacy.”
The 403 release continues as follows:
“Each item tells a story, connecting you directly to the moments and characters that have shaped one of the most influential franchises in entertainment history. AND this auction is also a chance to make a meaningful impact. A portion of the proceeds will benefit DoSomething.org, one of Star Trek’s official 60th anniversary charity partners, supporting young people driving positive change in their communities.”
Trek Central recently posted images from both the Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy sets on Threads, while reporting that these iconic pieces of Star Trek history were being dismantled. This isn’t a surprise since SNW already wrapped filming on its fifth and final season, and SFA was canceled in March, so there will be no further need to utilize the massive sets.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind bidding on Captain Christopher Pike’s (Anson Mount) chair from the USS Enterprise set, if it goes up for auction. However, the 403 Auction house announcement didn’t provide any details, so it’s unclear which set pieces from Strange New Worlds and Starfleet Academy will be made available to the public for bidding.
I also have a sneaking suspicion that Nahla Ake’s (Holly Hunter) chair from the USS Athena will make a small fortune, if it goes up for auction, given all the controversy swirling around the way she sat in the captain’s seat on Starfleet Academy.
A date has not yet been set for the 403 Star Trek auction, but the release clearly states, “You must be a local Ontario resident to bid without a deposit.” This is listed as Star Trek Auction No. 1 on the website, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the non-profit organization DoSomething.

Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
