7. John Crawford

John Crawford didn’t portray a villain in The Original Series. However, are there any Trekkies out there who actually like his Star Trek character, Commissioner Ferris? I sure didn’t, and I still don’t. How can you like someone who wants Captain Kirk (William Shatner) to leave Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy), Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelley), Mr. Scott (James Doohan), and the rest of the shuttlecraft team behind to die in the season 1 episode “The Galileo Seven?”

So, was Crawford’s character more likable on Batman? The answer is a resounding, “No!” Crawford portrayed the criminal henchman known as the Printer's Devil, who served the gang led by Hollywood legend Roddy McDowall’s sinister Bookworm. Crawford played the character in two episodes: “The Bookworm Turns” and “While Gotham City Burns.”
