Prodigy and its star Kate Mulgrew were nominated for Children’s & Family Emmys in 2025. Mulgrew’s Captain Janeway returned for the animated series after commanding the crew of the USS Voyager on television from 1995 until 2001. And thanks to her stellar — pun definitely intended — performance on Prodigy, Mulgrew was nominated for the Outstanding Multiple Role Voice Performer in a Children's or Young Teen Program Emmy award.

For those fans who haven’t watched the must-see Prodigy, Mulgrew portrays both Admiral Kathryn Janeway and Hologram Janeway. Plus, Prodigy was also nominated for an Outstanding Writing for a Children's or Young Teen Animated Series Emmy.

Star Trek: Prodigy’s Emmy nods could have easily been the most fascinating moment for the franchise in 2025 had it not been for — and say it with me — "Khan!"
