Celia Rose Gooding spent over an hour interviewing many familiar Star Trek faces, like Tawny Newsome, Melissa Navia, and Michelle Hurd. Plus, she had the opportunity to speak with all of Starfleet Academy’s major cast members, beginning with Paul Giamatti. Holly Hunter also stopped by to chat as did all the newcomers portraying the core-five cadets training to become Starfleet’s future. Zoe Steiner also spoke with Gooding but didn’t give away any spoilers about her intriguing Betazoid character Tarima Sadal.

Redshirts Always Die’s coverage of the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy New York City premiere includes every interview Gooding conducted on the bold blue carpet. And the event is definitely worth checking out because Gooding had so much fun interacting with everyone who stopped by for interviews. I think she did an amazing job. Plus, I definitely noticed how she became more composed and confident as the night progressed.

Unfortunately, no major spoilers came out of Gooding’s interviews. However, co-showrunner Alex Kurtzman did reveal that he will be filming the final episode of Starfleet Academy season 2 in two weeks. Did you check out the upcoming Star Trek series’ premiere in NYC?
