As suspected, this figure represents one of the coolest "Romulans" from The Original Series.
Star Trek: The Cruise sets sail on Friday, Feb. 20, and those lucky enough to have booked passage aboard the sold out excursion will have the opportunity to lay their hands on Nacelle’s exclusive cruise action figure. Back in December 2025, Nacelle’s Brian Volk-Weiss posted a blurred image of the mysterious figure, which has now been confirmed as Captain Kirk dressed like a Romulan from The Original Series season 3 episode, “The Enterprise Incident.”
Redshirts Always Die speculated last year that Romulan Kirk was likely the identity of the cruise collectible, and our suspicions were proved correct at this year’s New York Toy Fair. Nacelle posted some photos from the event (below) and the fifth image is that of the “Kirk as Romulan” figure.
“The Enterprise Incident” is one of my favorite episodes, but it’s hard to ascertain how accurate looking the Romulan Kirk figure is from this particular photo.
However, what I can see and love about this latest collectible from Nacelle is the load of accessories the exclusive cruise figure comes with: a wicked phaser rifle, which did NOT appear in that episode, a Romulan disruptor, and even a type-2 Federation phaser. It also looks like a Starfleet communicator is included in the packaging, but that’s hard to confirm from simply looking at the image.
I’m most impressed by the phaser rifle, which looks like an exact replica of the one Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) requested in the TOS episode “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” as a defensive measure against the god-like Gary Mitchell (Gary Lockwood).
