Star Trek: Discovery actor was shocked the show ended after five seasons

Star Trek: Discovery often ranks right up there with the fans as being some of the worst content producer Alex Kurtzman has cranked out during his tenure overseeing creator Gene Roddenberry’s beloved science fiction franchise. However, despite the disapproval of the show from many Trekkies, actor Anthony Rapp was sincerely shocked when the plug was pulled in 2024. The actor said (via TrekMovie.com):

“When we were filming season 5, we did not know that was going to be on our last season. We thought there was at least one more. We were even given the probable dates of coming back for season 6, and then, I don’t remember exactly how many months later, is when we got the very, very sad news that we were no longer going to be coming back.” (Continued...)
