While mercilessly upholding Alliance authority and continuously trying to replace her, Mirror Garak is the Intendant's ambitious and cruel right hand. While he lacks Prime Garak's mysterious appeal, he nonetheless possesses the same deadly intelligence and ability for deliberate brutality.

Terok Nor is not merely a redressed set; it feels completely inhabited, with characters such as Telok, the Klingon overseer, the masses of Terran prisoners, and the Bajoran and Cardassian functionaries occupying the Promenade. This rich social texture gives “Crossover” a sense of scale and lived-in reality that later DS9 Mirror outings rarely recapture.
