4. James T. Kirk (Captain, TOS)

Captain Kirk is known for beating foes who were more powerful than him, even though he wasn't the strongest physically. He was quick on his feet, could think on his feet, and was highly motivated. He typically uses Federation martial arts and street-fighting tenacity together, which helps him beat Gorn, Klingons, Romulans, and even androids — not to mention Khan!
