Thomas Causey was 76 years old.
Tinseltown’s renowned sound mixer Thomas Causey passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, in Cathedral City, California. Causey’s daughter-in-law, Crystal, confirmed the Hollywood veteran’s passing to the trade publication, Deadline.

Causey, who worked on all four of the Star Trek films featuring The Next Generation's cast, enjoyed an impressive career spanning over 50 years.
In addition to working on Star Trek Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek: Nemesis, as a sound mixer, Causey’s most prolific work came on the popular, classic television nighttime drama Dallas, starring Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy.
Causey was even nominated for an Academy Award (Best Sound) for his exceptional work on Warren Beatty’s Dick Tracy (1990) film.
