1. 'The Last Generation' (Picard)
"The Last Generation" is the best thing on this list for genuine, full-body, holiday-style warmth. The series finale brings The Next Generation family together one more time, from the rescue of Picard's son Jack to the crew's frantic, impossibly passionate effort to save Earth onboard a rebuilt Enterprise-D.
The minor moments are what make this the most uplifting Trek on the list. For example, Riker and Troi strengthen their Imzadi bond, Data enjoys simple things, Worf and Raffi find an odd rhythm, and Picard finally gets to be both captain and father at the same time.
The last scenes, especially the last poker session, were like a Christmas reunion special done correctly. It's not only heartwarming, but it only seems right that Jean-Luc Picard and company close things out playing cards once again a la "All Good Things..."
These 10 Treks make up an emotional toolkit for the holidays. They include stories about forgiveness, found families, second chances, and having the courage to be compassionate. There is a warm and fuzzy part of the Star Trek universe waiting for you to enjoy it alone, with family, or with other fans from different time zones.
