7. 'Ouroboros: Part 2' (Prodigy)

Star Trek is often about how people from different generations may learn from each other. Prodigy's series finale, "Ouroboros: Part 2," ends as the crew of the Protostar-class vessel, USS Prodigy, prepares to boldly go on a pilot-training program with Hologram Janeway aboard to assist. This is the moment the Traveler, Wesley Crusher, insisted they all stay together for.

Admiral Janeway, Captain Chakotay, and The Doctor all standing there together is emotional enough, but what happens next couldn't be more heartwarming. The commander of the USS Voyager delivers some unforgettable advice to the crew's young leader, Gwyn: "Everyone deserves a chance to prove where they belong, captain."

Prodigy's final episode is very moving because it believes in growth so strongly. At first, these characters were outlaws and outcasts, but by the end, they had earned their place in the story of Starfleet. They aren't perfect, but they keep choosing to be loyal and sincere. Seeing kids figure things out and seeing the adults around them realize it is the kind of hope that spans generations and is great for a Christmas watch list.
