Conclusion
Surviving “Catspaw” requires skepticism that leads to investigation rather than complacency.
Spock questions the imagery, Kirk discovers a dependency, and Korob’s intervention gives them a chance to act. The nightmare ends when Kirk destroys its machinery, but the bodies left behind keep the escape from becoming a simple trick-or-treat victory.
