Certainly, there’s plenty of positive chatter taking place online thanks to many fans who are asking — some outright begging — for Star Trek: United to be greenlit, which is a wonderful testament to Enterprise and the show's star Scott Bakula.

Unfortunately, well-intentioned sentiment alone won't make the difference where United possibly being greenlit is concerned. However, Star Trek producer Alex Kurtzman becoming a true champion and proponent of the idea would crank up Trekkies and Mike Sussman's impulse-powered hopes all the way to warp-powered attainment.

Yes, I realize it’s a whole new and expensive brand of ball being played over at the recently merged Paramount Skydance Corporation. However, Kurtzman is Star Trek’s multimillion-dollar mogul. And with an extravagant contract like that, not to mention his power and prestige, he could bring United to fruition faster than a Tribble can multiply.

In the words of Captain Picard — oh, yes, I’m going there — "make it so," Alex Kurtzman. Meet with Mike Sussman and Scott Bakula... and finally give the fans a Star Trek that is unequivocally United. Trekkies, share your thoughts and comments on Jonathan Archer’s possible future via the Redshirts Always Die Facebook and X pages. And, don't forget, the new streaming series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premiers on Paramount Plus Jan. 15.

Live long and prosper, Trekkies!
